CARTOMAP Reader CAD for AutoCAD and Bricscad Free and global access to CARTOMAP projects within AutoCAD or Bricscad |
CARTOMAP Reader for CAD is a free distributed application that allows users to read and edit CARTOMAP
files within their usual CAD application: AutoCAD (2007 or later) or Bricscad (9.3 or later).
You can use all the tools of your CAD application with no restrictions to modify the view,
request drawing information... and save the results obtained in native Autodesk DWG or DXF files.
- 1. Functionalities

- 1.1. Open CARTOMAP v6.2 files

CARTOMAP Reader for CAD can open projects of the latest CARTOMAP version and display their
content as native objects within AutoCAD or Bricscad. The objects can be edited without restrictions within these CAD applications.
The use of CARTOMAP Reader for CAD is aimed to share common projects with other professionals that want to work on CARTOMAP projects within their preferred CAD software.
- 1.2. Plan view

Any 2D View defined in the CTM file can be displayed, and the view size is adjusted according to the scale factor.
The CTM view can include drawing objects (3D objects), Stations, Points, Survey Observations, Digital Terrain Models, Contours, Corridor Models...
Those CTM objects that don't have a corresponding representation in native CAD format are adapted to supported CAD objects: Clothoids become Polylines, DTMs become Surfaces, Stations become Points... These objects preserve their original geometrical information in CTM format as attributes in CAD format: Points have attributes for Identification, Elevation and Code; Stations become Points with Station attributes, Clothoids become Polylines with their geometrical parameters defined in their attributes...
- 1.3. Restrictions

Register: The first time you launch CARTOMAP Reader, you must fill in a form and introduce a key number provided by ANEBA.
Expire date (renewal): CARTOMAP Reader can be used for a period of 180 days (6 months). The license can be then renewed by requesting a new key number.

These are the minimum requirements to make the most out of CARTOMAP reader for CAD:
- PC or Mac computer with Windows 7/Vista/XP.
- AutoCAD (2007 or later) or Bricscad (9.3 or later) installed in the computer.
- 200MB free space on disk to install CARTOMAP plus the space required for the system.

Downloading and installation process is divided into three basic components that can be downloaded and installed separately. The first component depends on the CAD platform used, AutoCAD or Bricscad:
1a. CARTOMAP Reader 6.1 for AutoCAD - Module 1, Build 2009.09
